Vintage Peach with Pearls Tag

Today’s tag is another one with a vintage theme! I have been learning lots of techniques from my wonderful friend Laurart and it’s getting me through the wait I have while I wait for my Distress Inks to be delivered!

Today’s tag is quite possibly one of my favourites so far, I love the colours, the vintage look and I love the quote. So, without further ado, this is how I made it…

On the bottom right hand corner of the tag I started by using texture paste with the ‘Mini Antiquities’ template. I spread this across the template, removed it and then left to dry.

When the raised part was dry I covered the entire tag in Gesso.

I then swirled two Distress Stains over the tag; Antique Linen and Tattered Rose. I wanted to create an pearlescent look to the tag, so I sprayed all over with a pearl glimmer mist.

In the middle of the card I wanted to create some scrolls to use as a background image. I stamped one scroll with Vintage Photo and the other with Tattered Rose.

In the top right hand corner I used the ‘Mini Antiquities’ stencil again, and blended Tattered Rose through it.

Next, using a small piece of square card I used Tattered Rose Distress Stain, and then stamped an image over the top. I used Tarnished Brass on the Flourish Stamp.

On a smaller piece of card I used Antique Linen Distress Stain and stamped the quote on top with Vintage Photo.

I then edged everything with Vintage Photo Distress Ink before gluing everything in place.

I added the Rose embellishment, pearls and the cut out hearts.

And here is the finished article…
