Making Music – A Blue Musical Tag with flowers & lace

Making Music: A Blue Musical Tag

Today’s step by step is a musical themed tag that I made last week when I was with my good friend Laurart, she always inspires me to make wonderful tags, and this time she was teaching me some wonderful new techniques.

Blue Music Tag

The first thing I did was cut out the music paper and decide where I wanted to place it on the tag where I wanted.

Next, using a few Distress Stains (Bundled Sage, Tarnished Brass and Broken China) I started to try and create a wrinkle free distress. I added all three to my mat and instead of adding water I added a glimmer spray to give a shimmer look to the tag. It was then left to dry.

Next I used Bundle Sage Distress Ink and blended this over the top of the tag.

Next, using the ‘Mini Antiquities’ template, I blended this onto the tag above and below the musical paper with Weathered Wood Distress Ink.

Then I coloured the Flower with Weathered Wood Ink to give it the beautiful colour you see.

For the embellishments I used crochet lace, a fabric flower and some twine and placed these where I wanted them on the tag.

What do you think? I would love to know you were here to please leave me a comment!
